Heather is a people operations strategist and coach who has built her career developing people and helping organizations tell their stories. She brings two decades of experience leading people and communications programs, originally in the nonprofit industry, and then in the technology sector — for over 6 years at Google and at a fully-remote, edtech startup.
As an independent consultant and trainer, she has supported individuals, organizations and business schools in areas such as: career development, communications, team building and manager training. She loves working on all aspects of the employee experience and creating workplaces where people can thrive, especially in remote and hybrid environments.
Heather has a BA in Cultural Anthropology and an MA in International Comparative Education, both from Stanford University. She completed her coaching training at The Co-Active Training Institute (CTI) and earned her SHRM-CP.
After years of living in a variety of places across the U.S. and beyond, she’s happy to be back in her hometown of Portland, Oregon, where she lives with her husband, their two great kids and three sweet, but mischievous cats. In her spare time, you can find her in the gym or on a yoga mat, curled up with a book, or adventuring with her family.
